CQC report on Ashcroft Surgery

The CQC stands for Care Quality Commission.   It is the independent regulator for health and social care in England.    It makes sure services such as GP surgeries, care homes, hospitals and dentists, provide patients with safe, effective, compassionate and high quality care.   It encourages us to continually improve on these services.     It looks at 5 main areas:

  1. Are services safe?
  2. Are services effective?
  3. Are services caring?
  4. Are services responsive to the patient’s needs?
  5. Are services well-led?
This report describes their judgement of the quality of care at our practice, Ashcroft Surgery.   It is based on a combination of what they found when they inspected us, information from our ongoing monitoring of data about services and information given to them from other NHS providers, patients, the public and other organisations.
We are delighted to say that the CQC were delighted with us and the care we provide.  We hope you are too. x
