– the woman should be at least 7 weeks gestation and have a positive pregnancy test
►Suspected ectopic pregnancy - can be seen at any gestation. If
patient unsuitable to wait until the next
appointment then acute admission to Gynaecology |
●A referral letter will be required stating LMP and symptoms. ●Alternatively
if the maternity notes are available the need for referral and symptoms can
be recorded in those notes and the woman asked to take the notes to the
appointment
●They do not see women to provide reassurance scans only - must have
symptoms of a threatened miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy
●Sexing of foetus will not happen at EPAU |
